Biography: What can be said about Kite? Throughout his entire life, from his earliest memories, he felt extremely unhappy with the world he lived in. He was born in the south tip of Japan to as the eldest brother in a soon to be family of five. A year after his birth, his mother bore twins - two brothers who would consume all of her attention. Feeling left alone and abandoned in their packed, small apartment which they rented from an ornery older man with a receding hairline, he sought for a way to escape from his reality. At age 8, an uncle who he didn't know very well stopped by to deliver late birthday presents. With their birthdays being so close together, the family opted to celebrate the three brothers' birthdays on the same day; it was just a coincidence that the day they chose to celebrate it was on the twins' birthday, and sometimes, only two presents were brought by the guests. He tried not to let it get to him, but over the years, he felt as if they were forgetting he was even their brother, and not just a childhood friend. It wouldn't be too hard to do. Most of the family remained reclusive; only showing up once or twice a year to hand out last minute gifts as if it made up for their lack of attention growing up. it seemed to work pretty well for the younger ones. The present their uncle brought, though, would be what kept him alone in his room and feeling more close to happy than he had ever felt before. It was a Nintendo 64, and the game he brought with him was The Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask. The complex maps and eerily designed characters captivated his imagination, and he let his imagination delve deeper and deeper into this digital rabbit hole.

It wasn't long before every gift he requested was simply the latest video game, and as soon as he was old enough to afford a job, he invested nearly every penny into keeping his collection of video games as up to date as possible, so when word had gotten out about a new game called Sword Art Online came out, he couldn't wait to get his hands on the system. Unfortunately, or rather luckily for him, he was not able to afford the system as well as the game before the servers went up on the first day, trapping all who had logged on in the game. He knew he had dodged a bullet, but he felt cheated out of the most intense gaming experience he could ever have. As luck would have it, though, some time after the game had ended and all seemed like it was over, the game was relaunched. It struck him as a bit odd, but his life had grown complacent and boring. This seemed to be just the thing to pull his mind out of the dark gutter it was in. If the game was anything close to as realistic as it was described in news reports by survivors of the deadly game, then he just had to experience it. Having the money necessary and the system already set up in his room, Kite went out and purchased the relaunched issue of Sword Art Online, and anxiously awaited the new server's launch date. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he hoped things wouldn't go too differently from last time.

Personality: In the real world, he is extremely unhappy with his life and the world he lives in. He always dreamed of being a character in a video game sent on an epic quest to save all of virtual humanity, but it would never happen in that world. He feels like the digital world of SOA is where he truly belongs, and doesn't see the point in beating the game. Life in there is so much more enjoyable than life back on earth, that the thought of beating the game brings up mixed feelings. He is a serious gamer, and plays to achieve all that he can. Every skill is important, and no enemy is unbeatable.

Appearance: Kite stands at just under six foot, and weighs 135lbs. He has medium length, choppy, black hair, and dark brown eyes. He wears his dagger in a leather sheathe attached to the belt around his waist. His leather armor set is basic, consisting of a starter tunic tied in the front over a white shirt, its collar lapping over at his neck, and the sleeves rolled up past his elbow. He wears leather grieves over navy blue cloth pants, both of which extend down and over the leather boots he wears. In battle, he keeps a wide stance, and likes to circle around his opponent and keep an eye on their moves. He favors speed and dodging over tanking attacks, seeking out perfect kills with no damage being done to him, even if he has to go some time without ever making an attack, only to strike when he can do so safely.
