| Q. How is this rp different from others to need this thread? A. Well most rp site that i have seen around has used many different things but each required posting a certain amount of words/sentences and i believed that to be overused these days. So we set up something different, feel free to read this thread over and enjoy. Stats: Starting numbers & explanation: - Spoiler:
Well here are the stats and i shall explain them as i go.
HP: Otherwise known as Hit Points, a quite popular stat in most rpgs and games such as Final Fantasy and many others. I brought this stat in to work like how it does in the anime, if it reaches zero you die!!! Yes i am serious you will die lol
Strength: This stat is used to determine the amount of damage minus the defense of the opponent on how much HP you can take away from them during battle/a Duel.
Speed: This stat is compared against your opponent to see who can strike first and also move the fastest to determine dodging ratio.
Defense: This is the big stat that helps you survive, the higher this is the better it is for you.
Stamina: This is the stat that determines how many monsters you can verse and how many sword skills you can essentially use.
Starting Guide
Level: 1
Experience to level: 0/500
HP: 300 Stamina: 1000 Strength: 5 Speed: 5 Defense: 10
*REMINDER: When creating your stats please include the points and the overall value separated by either a forward slash, dash, or equals sign. Please and thank you, have a nice day.
HP: This is your base health stat, once you reach the required experience to reach level two you will gain 200 HP on top of your previous 300 HP increasing it to 500 total HP. Like this, every level your health will increase by 200 HP.
Stamina: This is the stat which determines how many people you can fight and how many sword skills you can use. It is 100 stamina per foe that you face in combat, and 200 stamina for each of the starting sword skills all of which will have the amount of stamina required next them in this thread here. Upon leveling you will gain 300 stamina per level up for levels 1-5. Then for levels 6-10 it will increase to 500, and so on for each new set of five levels you will add another 200 on to the gain from the last five levels so it goes 300->500->700->900->1100 and so on like that.
-Stamina consumed in a party is halved for all party members to 50 stamina drained per foe that you face in combat.
Strength: This is your strength stat, this is how much damage you do to the monster or person that you are attacking at the time after you subtract your defense from this. The amount of attacks you have default are 5. Using your attacks you also have the option to parry incoming attacks, but you can only parry other attacks from the 5 default attacks you receive. You strength stat is point based, each point in your strength stat is equal to 25 damage. Similar to blocking, if you lock swords with the enemy it is the person with the greater strength which will come out on top in the exchange.
Speed: This is the stat you compare with the enemies to determine essentially how many times you can dodge your enemies attack. Default you have 2 dodges available to dodge enemy attacks and for every two points of speed higher than your enemy's speed you gain another dodge OR an extra attack. The max number of attacks and dodges you can earn this way is 5 which add on to your defaults but these speed attacks can NOT be used to parry other attacks.
Defense: This stat is a necessity to survive, it is the one that soaks up incoming damage for you to take as little as possible. No matter how high your defense is, even if by the numbers you can absorb all of the incoming damage for fairness' sake for every one point out of ten you will take damage. Which means that 31 points in attack would be what would be needed to inflict four points worth of damage to your enemy if their defense was high enough to normally take all of your damage. If the defense of the other isn't high enough to put in to effect the mercy effect to allow the other party to still damage the stronger enemy then as usual it's simply subtracting your defense from their strength to get the damage done to your HP and vice versa. Each point in defense is equal to ten points of damage reduced from an incoming attack. Blocking, has a default limit of 2 blocks per post and it's something that can only be done when you and the attacker have equal strength. At equal strength the block is successful, but if you are weaker than the incoming attacker by five points it will be an unsuccessful block. If you are stronger than the attacker by five or more points then you can knock back the enemy. You may use one of your default attacks to parry an oncoming attack if you have equal or greater strength than your enemy. If you are stronger by ten points then you can knock them off balance and disrupt their balance by parrying them.
In the stats Strength, Speed, and Stamina you have points to distribute to increase each one's effectiveness. Upon leveling you will receive four points in total to distribute between the three to build your character how you yourself choose. Your choices on your armor and weapon will decide what your stats can become from here.
