Armor and Weapon making

Armor and weapons can be made within shops on every floor that houses them. The most prominent place for shops will be the Town of Beginnings (<-- Link provided) on the the very first floor so you can prepare for your journey. Only Blacksmith class players may forge armors and weapons. You may purchase them at the set price buy the maker. Although, most will only forge weapons or armors alone, some may be able to do both. You must state of doing one or the other, though, once you get to a higher level in your profession, you may do both. Forging said materials are relatively easy. Each item must take at least 2 posts of more than 4 sentences to produce. I

You will need to obtain and steadily have an income of certain materials for each forging session. Each item must be given a name by the maker and only by the maker themselves. You may choose the type of materials you combine to make each weapon and armor piece, though, it will give said item a specific trait that may help you in battle.

To properly make a weapon or armor, you mus do the following:

-Choose the production option on your furnace via pop-up window to properly heat it.
-Then you must put the chosen metal(s) into the furnace so they can heat to the desired temp.
-Once it is properly heated, the material will be placed on an anvil and asked to choose the desired weapon/armor type via pop-up window
-Then the blacksmith will hit the metal with there hammer a number of depending on the metal used, the level, and the type of weapon/armor.
-The strength of the weapon is dependent on how many times it was hit with the hammer.

Each material is listed below:

Normal Metals:

Aluminum- This metal can be put into anything. It the most commonly found substance of metal in Aincrad and can be mined for almost anywhere and only any floor. This light-weight metal improves speed and agility by lightening the load that you have to bare with both armor and weapons. Although it is light, this may not be the best metal to use. The durability isn't the best meaning it will wear out fast. Better used in temporary weapons, this metal is not commonly used in armor.

Copper- This metal is a step up from Aluminum itself in a few ways. The color of this metal is a strict light to medium brown and will vary within the combination of most metals mostly getting brighter. This metal isn't used alone in neither weapon forging nor armor forging. Its durability is twice that of Aluminum but the weight is also doubled. Easily called light, though, this metal will last longer than Aluminum but is still used as a temporary weapon or armor piece.

Reinforced Nickel- Using the key word 'reinforced', this brand of nickle is found normally but is solidified to a certain degree to make it stronger. Alone, this metal can with stand normal attacks from players and monsters within the level range of floors 1-10. Because it is reinforced, its endurance is automatically enhanced with the combination of any other metal.

Solidified Mercury- This usually red metalloid (almost a metal but appears to be a liquid) is made into a solid using extreme heats. Naturally, it is beneath a massive amount of dirt and sedimentary rock with build pressure on it making it compressed. Because it is so far beneath the surface, it may be heated by the lower regions of the floors. This metal is only found on floors above 1-10 and increases the accuracy and power of your weapon and durability of your armor.

Iron ore- Iron ore is one of the stronger and most commonly used metal for normal forgers and blacksmiths. Most of the armor and weapons you see will be made of this. Iron gives no real boost in your stats but is good for just about anything. Its light-weight for those with reasonably normal stats and stronger for those heavy fighters. Don't push it too much because it will break.

Silver- Silver is just the same as Iron but with a boost on agility. Its shiny appearance usually stays that way through thick and thin but will break if over used. Usually used in daggers and small projectile weapons, this metal may be used in armor as well but is rarely seen because its shiny essence is too noticeable on the battle field.

Silver lead- This metal isn't actually made of any silver at all. This metal is just a shiny lead material that broadens the blade that is made with it. Taking the appearance of Silver, this metal is much, much heavier by contrast. This is a reason why it is never used in armor. Its durability and strength is also increase by 2 when combined with Iron. This metal is only found on floor 15.

Black lead- Black lead is the same as the above metal 'Silver lead'. The difference is its color and its weight. The deep black metal can be used in any weapon but none of the armor plates that one may desire or need to survive. Its endurance is about the same, which is moderately strong. The deep black color doesn't shine nor glisten when put against light. This metal is only found on floor 15.

Chrome- This is a light-weight metal that is considered valuable to most. Because of its increase in once speed and agility, many cherish it. But this shiny and appealing metal comes at a cost when used in weapons. Because of its bright and shiny luster, it will often reflect any light that is nearby and decrease your accuracy, making you miss your target spot by a little or miss it completely. This metal is only found on floor 23.

Gold- Gold is the same as Chrome but with a deeper tone of color. Hard to break, It may be used in armor. This is not usual though. If used in armor plates, only use small amounts of this to decrease the weight that it holds as well as combine it with a light-weight and sturdy metal.

Platinum- Platinum is stronger than Gold but essentially lighter. This metal is often used in armor more than weapons. Its durability is extremely high yet it is the lightest and most comfortable piece of metal to wear. The cost of this metal is relatively high on the market because of its effectiveness and the amount of it isn't as easy to find as others. You may find this metal anywhere from floors 18-25.

Titanium- Titanium ore is a strong and light-weight metal. It is used in both armor and weapons. Although it sounds like the same thing as Platinum, it is not as strong. Its weight is about the same but there is a big difference in the weight of these two. Platinum is lighter and will fit one comfortably every time without any adjustments, but Titanium will require some adjustment to your body shape and type while hand the user a little more weight.

'Magical' Materials:
**All Magical Materials must be found by the costumer and given to the forger to build into your armor/weapon. But this must be requested special and will require extra cost. Each Magical Material is found in the form of a crystal and each may be combined with another and used with a weapon or armor piece as well. Two may be combined Maximum!**

Tribinum- Although this is the weakest of the magical materials to put in ones armor and weapons, this may come in handy for some lower level players. When used in a weapon, this element will increase the users ability to counter an oncoming attack as well as boost speed. But when used in armor, this material will give the ability to decrease am attacks strength by 3 when they make contact with it.

Cerius Metallica- When applied to a weapon, this will allow a player to set said weapon on fire for 10 seconds to increase the damage dealt. This is a special attack and varies on how much of this material is within the weapon itself.

Stromtium- When applied to armor or accessories, this material gives the player the ability to heal up to 20 HP with each use. Cool down of 4 posts required for this.

Iridius- This fine, sky blue crystal is used in the hilt of ones blade. It increases the accuracy of the blade as well as provides healing of  5 HP per use. Requires a 2 post cool down time for the healing ability.

Pulsair- Found at the bottom of large bodies of water, This crystal can be used in weapons only. Applied to the blade of a weapon, it allows the blade to liquify and then re-materialize at will. The more the use of the applied blade, the more you may be able to use this ability.

Thallis- When used in armor, an ability is activated that allows the player to be untraceable for 5 posts maximum. This ability may be used on weapons as well but this post length it can be used is shortened to 3 posts.

Scandum- Scandium allows for the user to pierce any armor that is made of Lead or Titanium easily.

Raegn- Small and round, this crystal is found under the roots of trees. Each one can be worn as a ring or give added HP regeneration abilities to a weapon or armor piece. Each one that is applied at said equipment allows only a player to gain 1 HP per post. The more of these little crystals you find the more regeneration of HP you may have per post.

Rease crystal- Each of these massive crystals can grant the ability to magnetize any piece of armor or weapon that you may add it to when it is forged. When it is being forged, it will ask for a user's full username to adapt to so it knows who it is coming back to. To activate such an ability, you must be within a 10 foot range of the weapon or armor and it must belong to you. All you have to do is hold out your hand towards it.

Electrum- This crystal can only be used in weapons. It gives the weapon the ability to shock an opponent on contact to deal more damage. Requires a cool down time of 2 posts.

How to enhance a weapon/armor piece:

Before an item can be enhanced, the "Reinforcing" option on the pop-up window of the blacksmith's furnace must be selected and the blacksmith must then choose the desired property of the enhancement and put all gathered materials into the furnace. Once all of the materials are liquefied in mere moments, the color of the flame changes to represent the chosen property: silver for sharpness, blue for accuracy and other colors for quickness, heaviness and durability. Then, the item must be inserted into the furnace and kept there until it starts glowing. Afterwards, the item must be moved onto an anvil and hit with a blacksmith's hammer for exactly ten times, no matter the number of enhancements that have been carried out on the same item. After the first hit, the ten hits must be carried out within three minutes or the enhancement will result in an automatic failure.

Although, you may only enhance each weapon/armor piece a certain amount of times. This is called Maximum enhancement. There will be a set amount of times that each weapon/armor piece can be enhanced whether the attempt failed or not. As of now, each piece will have a set amount of 3 enhancements. This may change later on but for now this is the limit. If you attempt to go beyond this limit, the weapon will shatter and you will be unable to wield said weapon due to its broken state.

Success Rates:

Enhancement requires a certain number of materials, which are divided into two types: base materials and additional materials. The base materials are fixed and necessary for the enhancement, while the type of additional material determines the type of enhancement and the number of the additional material affects the success rate of the enhancement. The success rate of enhancement greatly drops after the item reaches +4. A failure in enhancement may result in:

-No change aside from the materials being consumed and the remaining attempt count decreasing.
-The enhancement level remains the same, but the properties change.
-The player's item loses a level of enhancement.

**It is recommended that each player go to a blacksmith every once in awhile to get your armor and weapons reinforced and replenished for the next battle. This will also cost money but the cost is up to the seller**

**If a metal or magical material doesn't specify what floor it is found on, then assume it is found on all floors though some may be harder to find than others**
