Starter Armors

When you first join the floating castle, Aincrad, you will be faced with many choices. One of which will basically be what kind of character you want to start as which will be determined by your weapons and armor. Today we will go over what kind of armors you can choose at the start of the game. The set you choose will determine what your final starting stats are when entering the game. All the sets are free to color customization of your choice. The default clothing set also allows you to be as creative as you want with the basic shirt, pants, and shoes along with any other small thing you can think of such as a bandanna and other items similar to that.

Clothing Set:
(Lightest) Basic Clothing

Description:
Adds +3 Speed - This is to be considered the default of not having any armor at all and will defaulted to those who do not choose any of the other armor sets. Choosing to go without any of the below armor will grant you the speed boost listed above.

Armor Set:
(Light) Leather Armor

Description:
Adds +2 Speed and +4 Defense - This armor is essentially leather protection on top of the default Clothing set. It offers very little defense to maintain decent mobility.

Armor Set:
(Heavy) Chainmail Armor

Description:
Adds +7 defense - This armor is usually worn under the default clothing set for added protection which doesn't hinder your speed.

Armor Set:
(Heaviest) Plate Armor

Description:
Adds +11 defense and Loses -3 speed - This armor worn over top of the default clothing set and offers the greatest protection but costs the user speed to gain this greater protection.

Shield:
Starter Shield

Description:
Adds +5 defense, -2 speed - The shield bolsters the users defenses by giving up a bit of their mobility. The shield can only be used with One-Handed weapons, but it's usually only used by One-Handed Sword and Curved One-Handed Sword users due to the fact that it gets in the way of Dagger and Rapier users.
